DX for Schools

Built for a school that is using it today

We built SCHOODA, a pre-ordering and cashless payment system for school cafeterias, and it is live in a high school now. We were not only the developer — we handled the design, the conversations with the school, and the payment providers, and we still operate it. That is the kind of involvement we bring to school projects.

What gets in the way

School systems fail for a specific reason: they add a step for the people who have the least time. Anything we build has to be faster than what it replaces, on the first day.

The lunch queue eats the lunch break

Orders pile into a short break, and the counter gets stuck taking orders and handling cash.

How we solved it

Students pre-order and pay on their phones; the counter only hands the food over.

Cash handling is a daily risk

Counting, reconciling and carrying cash takes staff time and carries its own risk.

How we solved it

Cashless payment, with monthly settlement generated automatically.

Demand is invisible until the day itself

Without advance numbers, the kitchen either runs out or throws food away.

How we solved it

Pre-orders give the kitchen tomorrow's numbers today.

Contact with students runs through many tools

Scheduling, content delivery and follow-ups each live in a different place and get reconciled by hand.

How we solved it

Put the flow inside the tool students already open — for one client, that was LINE.

What we have delivered

SCHOODA — school cafeteria ordering

Pre-order, payment and pickup for students, a kitchen queue for cafeteria staff, and an admin console for menus, sales and inventory. Built multi-tenant so several schools can share it.

Case study

Cashless payment and monthly settlement

Payment status updates instantly from the provider's webhook, and monthly settlement — fee deduction and transfer statements — is generated automatically.

PayPay / credit card

Career support inside LINE

Interview booking, learning content, homework and assessments for participants, plus an admin console for staff — built as a LINE mini app so nothing new had to be installed.

ISMS-certified handling

Student data is personal data about minors. We hold ISO/IEC 27001 certification and work within it.

What schools need that others do not

The people who use a school system are students, cafeteria staff and teachers — not IT staff. When pickup confirmation was slowing the counter down, we did not write a manual for it; we moved the button to the student's screen and rewrote the student-facing guide to match.

Student data is personal data about minors, and a school year does not pause for a migration. We hold ISO/IEC 27001 certification, and we phase rollouts so that a term can end normally even if something needs to change.
