AX & DX for Manufacturing

AX & DX for Manufacturing

Start with one job, not with a system overhaul

Most manufacturers we meet do not need a new ERP. They need estimating to stop depending on one person, drawings to be findable, and the office work around production to take less time. We work with manufacturers on exactly that — and training for it can be subsidised.

What we hear on site

These come up in almost every first conversation with a manufacturer. None of them are solved by buying a tool.

Excel has become the system

Files multiply, the formulas are only understood by one person, and nobody can safely change them.

How we approach it

We keep what works and replace only the part that breaks, rather than proposing a full rebuild.

The judgement lives in one veteran's head

Estimating, scheduling and quality calls depend on experience that has never been written down.

How we approach it

We start by writing that judgement down as rules, then decide whether AI is even needed.

Finding the drawing takes longer than the work

Drawings, specs and past quotes are spread across shared folders with no consistent naming.

How we approach it

Search across existing documents in natural language, without reorganising the folders first.

No budget and no one to spare for IT

There is no in-house IT owner, and training costs are hard to justify against production.

How we approach it

Training can be subsidised — up to 75% of costs for SMEs under the national scheme, subject to review.

What we offer

Subsidised AI training, built per job role

Training designed around the actual jobs on site — estimating, production control, quality, back office — rather than generic prompt lessons. We handle eligibility checks and the paperwork; the application itself is handled by a licensed consultant.

Replacing the part that actually hurts

Production control, inventory, quotes, inspection records — we scope one workflow, build it, and let it run before touching anything else.

About the subsidy

Training on AI and DX can fall under Japan's human resource development subsidy. For SMEs, up to 75% of the training cost may be covered. It requires an employment-insured workplace, at least 10 hours of off-the-job training, and a plan filed with the Labour Bureau at least one month before the training starts.

Two things to know up front. Since the August 2026 revision, generic DX training that stops at concepts is no longer eligible — the content has to connect to the trainee's actual job, which is why we design per job role. And we do not promise you will receive it: the decision rests with the Labour Bureau. Application filing itself is the exclusive work of a licensed consultant, so we introduce one rather than doing it ourselves.

Figures are as of fiscal 2026. The main course is scheduled to end in March 2027.
